Our free apps stay free. This page is for anyone who wants to help keep that being true.
There is nothing to unlock here, no reward tier, and no membership. If you have used something we made and would like to put a little towards the next one, thank you — and if not, that is completely fine. Please use the apps either way.

Why we ask at all
Most free software is not really free — it is paid for with advertising, with analytics sold on, or with a subscription that appears three screens in. We do not want to build that. Our apps have no ads, no tracking, no accounts and nothing to buy, which is a nicer thing to use and a harder thing to fund.
So the apps stay free and this page stays optional. Nobody is nagged, nothing is withheld, and there is no version of our software that treats a paying user better than a non-paying one. If a handful of people who can afford it chip in, the ones who cannot still get everything.
What it actually pays for
Store fees
Apple charges $99 a year to keep an app on the App Store, whether it is free or not. Google charges $25 once. If the Apple fee lapses, our free apps disappear from sale — so this one is not optional.
Hosting and tools
This website, the domain, and the everyday tools that go into building and testing on real devices. Modest, but it arrives every month regardless of whether anyone donates.
The next thing
Hours. New artwork, new features, bugs fixed, and the yearly work Apple and Google require to keep everything running on the latest versions of their systems.
What donating does not get you
Worth being blunt about, because plenty of “support us” pages quietly mean “pay us”.
- No extra features. There is no paid version of anything we make. Everyone has the whole app already.
- No priority support. Every email gets the same attention, donor or not.
- No influence over what we build. Suggestions are always welcome and always free to make.
- No tax receipt. Oxin Studio is a company, not a registered charity, so this is a gift rather than a deductible donation.
- No subscription. One payment, no repeat, nothing to cancel later.
Free ways to help that we value just as much
Leave a review
A handful of honest reviews does more for a small app than any amount of money. It is the only way people find something with no marketing budget behind it.
Tell one person
Anyone you think would get something out of it. One recommendation from a person someone trusts beats a thousand impressions.
Tell us what broke
A clear bug report — what you did, what happened, which device — is worth a great deal. We cannot fix what we never see.
Common questions
Is this tax deductible?
No. Oxin Studio Inc. is a software company, not a registered charity, so there is no tax receipt and this is not a charitable donation. It is a gift to the people who make the apps. We would rather say that plainly than let anyone assume otherwise.
Will the apps stay free if nobody donates?
Yes. Our free apps are free because that is how we want them, not because we are waiting to see how this page performs. If donations never covered a penny, nothing about them would change — and that goes for everything we release from here on.
Do I need a PayPal account?
No. Depending on the payment options PayPal makes available at checkout, you may be able to pay with a credit or debit card without having a PayPal account.
Is it a recurring payment?
No. This donation button is for a one-time payment. There is nothing to cancel later.
Can I give to one specific app?
You can mention which app your contribution is for in the PayPal note and we will take the hint about what to work on next — but everything goes into the same pot, which mostly pays store fees and hosting before it pays for anything creative.
What if I change my mind?
Email us and we will refund it, no questions and no awkwardness. Nobody should feel bad about a gift they gave on impulse.
Why is there no donate button inside the apps?
We keep fundraising outside the apps. Some of what we make is used by young children, and an app a four-year-old can open should never contain a button that asks for money.
