Who this policy is from

Kids Photo Booth is published by Oxin Studio Inc., an independent software company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This policy covers the Kids Photo Booth app for iPad and iPhone. It does not cover other Oxin Studio products, which have their own policies, or this website, which is covered by the Oxin Studio privacy policy.

Deleting the app deletes the photos in its private folder and every setting it holds.

Permissions we ask for, and why

Camera — required. The app is a photo booth. The camera is used only while the capture screen is open, and only to take the pictures you ask for.

Add to Photos — optional. If the “Also save to this device’s Photos app” setting is on, finished photos are copied to your photo library. This uses the add-only permission, which means the app can put photos in but cannot read, browse, or search anything already there. Turning the setting off stops this entirely; the booth still works normally.

The app asks for no other permissions. No location, no microphone, no contacts, no notifications, no tracking.

Faces

When a photo is taken, the app looks for faces so that party hats and glasses land in the right place. This uses Apple’s Vision framework and runs entirely on the device’s own processor.

The app receives a rectangle — a position and a size — and nothing else. No face image, template, faceprint, or identity is created, stored, or transmitted, and the rectangle is discarded as soon as the photo is finished. There is no face recognition of any kind: the app cannot tell one person from another, and could not identify anyone if asked to.

Email

Photos can be emailed only by a grown-up, and only through Apple’s own mail sheet:

1. An adult passes the parental gate — a two-digit number shown written out in words, typed back as digits.
2. iOS opens its standard mail composer with the photos already attached.
3. The adult reviews the message and presses Send — or cancels.

The app never sends mail itself and has no access to your mail account. Once you press Send, the message is handled by Apple Mail and your email provider under their own privacy policies. If a default email address is saved in Settings, it is stored only on your device and used only to fill in the To: field.

Children’s privacy

This app is intended for children and is listed in the App Store Kids Category. It meets the requirements of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and the GDPR by the simplest route available: it collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Because no personal information is collected, there is nothing to obtain verifiable parental consent for, nothing to grant access to, and nothing to delete on request beyond the photos already sitting on your own device, which you control directly.

Specifically, the app contains:

• No user accounts, sign-in, or profiles
• No advertising of any kind
• No third-party SDKs, analytics, or tracking
• No in-app purchases
• No links out to websites, social media, or other apps
• No chat, comments, sharing, or user-to-user features
• No behavioural profiling or personalisation

Settings, the saved-photo gallery and every email action sit behind a parental gate, so a child cannot reach them alone.

Data sharing

None. There is nobody to share with. No data is sold, rented, disclosed, or transferred to any third party, because none is collected in the first place.

Your choices

• Turn off “Also save to this device’s Photos app” in Grown-Up Settings.
• Delete individual photos, or every photo at once, from the Party Photos screen.
• Revoke camera or photo access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
• Delete the app, which removes every photo and setting it holds.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, the policy will be updated here and the date at the top changed. Any future version that collected data would be a material change and would be disclosed prominently, both here and in the App Store privacy label.
